It's finally finished. A "studio" version of Promises are for Pussies. I did the equalization myself this time and I had plenty of time to do it, so it came out pretty well. I hope you enjoy it.

I just equalized the song again to give it a better sound. The bass is now more distinguishable, the drums have more punch, and the guitar has more crunch. If you've downloaded or listened to it before this post, I recommend hearing it again.
I'm also going to sit down and spend more time equalizing Shimmer to see if I can get it to sound a bit cleaner.

Doesn't sound like you had a different microphone for each instrument, or for each person singing. I know it cost a lot of money, but equalize it all you want, there will always be something wrong with it. Some things you can only equalize separatly. I'm sure you already know that anyway.
By making the bass more distinguishable, you almost buried the guitar. By giving the drums more punch, you bury the vocals in the "Promises are for pussies" part of the song.
Still, a very good job. I wish I knew how to do that stuff.
I will, one day.

It was recorded with different mics on each track. This was my first time using the program, so it's not as good as it could've been. Next time, now that I know how to do it, it will be better.

Cool. It's really the kind of thing I wish I knew how to do. I'm gonna take a class about that in university.

Hey. I just re-equalized the song and it sounds hella better now. Give it another listen, even if you have already.

Like I told you on AIM, I enjoy this one a lot more than the majority of your work. Your vocalist still needs to project himself more (he sounds a bit lost and sheepish, to be fair), but I like his vocal stylings. The genre tends not to be my cup of tea and the group vocals in the breakdown, in my opinion, absolutely ruin this song. They're just terribly cheesy and offset the rest of the piece.

Yeah, try to get Devin to work on his vocals. From the track, I can barely here him.. but I know I can hear him pretty loud and clear live, but then again.. his voice can sometime blend in with the music and just sounds like nothing sometimes.
